The Fight of My Life

I was 33 years old, and my body was failing. After years of excessive drinking, I was diagnosed with end-stage liver disease. I was sent home to die. This is the story of what happened next.

My recovery was a long and often lonely road, but it taught me the incredible power of resilience. It taught me how to fight when every odd is stacked against you. In August 2024, my specialist delivered news that defied all expectations: I no longer needed a liver transplant. That second chance ignited a fire in me to not only live my life to the fullest but to be a beacon of hope for others. It’s the core of what "I'm Out Here" is all about—letting you know you're not alone.

The Builder

That same grit I used to fight for my life is the same grit I've brought to my professional career. While healing, I poured myself into my work, excelling in digital marketing roles and eventually becoming a senior member of the marketing team at Signature Solar. I wasn't just doing a job; I was building. I helped that company scale from a $15M-a-year startup to a $170M+ powerhouse.

My journey has been marked by both triumphs and setbacks. In February 2025, I was let go from that job. But what I've learned from my recovery is that every setback is an opportunity to build something new. That's what I'm doing now with "I'm Out Here."

The Mission

Everything I do is fueled by two things: my music and my son.

Music has been my constant for decades. I've played bass and guitar for some of the most talented artists in the Texas Country scene and rocked out to my fair share of metal. It's the language I use to process the world.

My son, Connor, is my why. He's the reason I fought so hard to recover and the reason I'm building this "I'm Out Here" brand—to create a better, more authentic future for us. He is my constant inspiration.

"I'm Out Here" is more than just a phrase; it's a testament to overcoming adversity, embracing life's adventures, and offering a genuine connection to those who might feel lost or alone. Whether you're navigating your own challenges, seeking inspiration, or just looking for some real-life stories, I'm out here for you. Join me on this journey.
